So, I’ve been on this Mega Man Legends kick lately, right? It all started when I dusted off my old PS1 a few weeks back. I was digging through a box of old games and boom – there it was, Mega Man Legends. I popped it in, and man, the nostalgia hit me hard.

I spent the whole weekend glued to the TV, blasting Reaverbots and exploring Kattelox Island. It was a blast from the past! That got me thinking, “Why isn’t this gem on the Switch?” Seriously, it’s a crime!
Diving into Reddit
First thing I did was jump on Reddit. I figured, if anyone’s gonna know something, it’s those guys. I found this Marvel Legends subreddit – yeah, I know, wrong franchise, but bear with me. There was this whole thread about old games they want to see revived. It wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but it got me in the right mindset.
Then I found a thread specifically about Mega Man Legends. People were talking about a potential remake or collection. Some folks mentioned some drama with Mega Man Legends 3 getting canceled years back. Apparently, that left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth, and might be one reason why Capcom’s been hesitant.
GameFAQs and Old Memories
Next, I hit up GameFAQs. Remember that site? It’s like a time capsule. Anyway, I found a message board topic titled “I’d like to see a Mega Man Legends Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legends 3.” People were dreaming, just like me! There was some talk about a “Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version” that was supposed to be a download years ago, but it seemed to have vanished into thin air.
The Sad Truth
It’s been a while, and honestly, it seems like most Mega Man fans have given up hope for anything Legends related. The cancellation of Legends 3 still stings. It’s like Capcom just wants to forget the whole thing ever happened.
I even tried to find something, anything, official from Capcom about bringing the series to the Switch. Nada. Zilch. It’s like they’re pretending the Legends series never existed, which is a real shame. These games were awesome, and I know I’m not the only one who thinks so.
Still Hoping
So, after all that digging, I’m left with…well, not much. It’s a bummer, but I’m still holding out hope. Maybe, just maybe, someone at Capcom will see how much we still love these games and give them another chance. A guy can dream, right?
