Alright, so I was digging into this whole “GI Joe Roddy Piper” thing, and let me tell you, it was a trip. First off, I had to figure out who the heck Roddy Piper even was. Turns out, he’s this wrestler dude, pretty famous back in the day. And GI Joe? Well, that’s a whole can of worms – action figures, cartoons, the works.

So, I started watching some old GI Joe cartoons. You know, the ones from the 80s with the crazy laser beams and the corny one-liners? Yeah, those. I figured, gotta get a feel for the vibe, right? And then I found out Piper was actually the voice of a character in one of the animated movies. Mind blown!
- Watched a bunch of old GI Joe cartoons.
- Discovered Roddy Piper voiced a character in a GI Joe movie.
- Searched for which movie it was, the animated one, not the live-action one.
I dug around online, trying to find which movie it was. It wasn’t the live-action one. It was the animated one. It took some time to sort through all the info, I mean, there’s a lot of stuff about these old movies and action figures. I mean, who knew? People are into some strange things, talking about fishnets, prostitutes and strippers in a kids toy. Anyway, I finally found the right one. Turns out that it was called “G.I. Joe: The Movie” and it’s from 1987. So I tracked it down and watched it, just to hear Piper’s voice.
Honestly, the movie was… well, it was something. It’s that typical 80s stuff. But hey, I could totally pick out Roddy Piper’s voice! He played this character called “Sgt. Slaughter,” a tough drill sergeant type. It was pretty cool to hear him doing his thing in a cartoon, especially after knowing him from his wrestling days. Then I got curious and checked what other people have to say about it. It seems this movie is actually pretty important in the story of the toys or something.
My Little Findings:
It was a fun little project, diving into this piece of 80s nostalgia. I even learned a thing or two about binary code, it was a thing written on the flashcards I found online related to the toys. It’s crazy how one little search can lead you down a rabbit hole of old cartoons, wrestling legends, and, well, a whole lot of other stuff! I did not find anything about 500gb RGB SSD though.
