So, I’ve been on this whole Pokemon card collecting thing lately, right? And let me tell you, the hunt for certain cards can be a real adventure. Today, I wanna share my journey of trying to get my hands on a full art Mimikyu card. It’s been a wild ride, guys!
First off, I started where any reasonable person would, I searched around a whole bunch, like, eBay, and a couple of other spots. I figured, with so many people into this stuff, it’d be a piece of cake to find what I was looking for. Boy, was I a bit off.
I scoured through pages and pages of listings. I saw tons of Mimikyu cards, don’t get me wrong, but the full art ones were like finding a needle in a haystack. I stumbled upon a few, but they were either way out of my budget or, get this, already sold. Talk about a bummer!
Then, I thought, “Why not check out this online price comparator thingy?” I typed in “Mimikyu Pokemon cards,” and bam! A whole list of prices from different places. But still, the full art ones were either too pricey or not available.
- I even found this one listing for a “2021 Pokemon Japanese Sword Shield Vmax Climax 234 Full Art/mimikyu Vmax,” which sounded super fancy.
- But guess what? It was one of those auction things, and I’m not really into that whole bidding war scene.
Feeling a bit defeated, I decided to take a different approach. I remembered hearing about this site, I think it was called Etsy, where people sell all sorts of handmade and unique stuff. “Maybe, just maybe, someone’s selling a custom full art Mimikyu card there,” I thought.
I headed over to the site and started browsing. And you know what? There were some pretty cool Pokemon art pieces, but still no full art Mimikyu. It was like this card was a ghost or something, always just out of reach.
My Epic Search!
But hey, I’m not one to give up easily. I kept searching, kept looking, and kept hoping. I mean, there had to be a full art Mimikyu card out there with my name on it, right? And let me tell you people online are going crazy about it, saying how the color of it is so distinct, and it’s getting more expensive by the day.
Finally, after what felt like forever, I found it! A seller on some online shop had a “Pokemon Sword Shield Brilliant Stars 069 Full Art/mimikyu Vmax PSA 9” listed. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I just couldn’t pass it up. I clicked that “Buy Now” button so fast, you wouldn’t believe it.
Now, I’m just waiting for that precious card to arrive in the mail. It’s like waiting for Christmas morning, but even better! I can’t wait to add it to my collection and show it off to all my Pokemon-loving buddies. This whole experience has taught me that sometimes, the best things in life are worth the wait, and the hunt. And when it comes to collecting Pokemon cards, the thrill of the chase is half the fun!
Anyway guys, I’ve also heard there is a “Mimikyu ex Showcase” that contains a foil promo card and some booster packs. I guess I will try to get that next time.
So, yeah, that’s my story of how I finally got my hands on a full art Mimikyu card. It was a journey full of ups and downs, but in the end, it was totally worth it. If any of you are on the hunt for a rare card, don’t give up! Keep searching, keep looking, and eventually, you’ll find it. Trust me, the feeling of finally getting that card you’ve been wanting is like nothing else.
