Today, I gotta share this thing I’ve been messing around with called “Red Flags Expansion.” I know, sounds kinda serious, right? But trust me, it’s not what you think.

So, picture this: I stumble upon this online, and it’s all about adding more “perks” and “red flags” to some game. My first thought was, “What game?” But then I see it’s like a party game, something about terrible dates. Sounds hilarious, so I’m in. I found these online rules that mention “Perk” and “Red Flag” cards, and I’m like, “Okay, I need to see what this is about.”
I started digging around, found out it’s an expansion pack for a game called “Red Flags.” Apparently, the whole point is to convince your friends to go on these awful, made-up dates. The more I read, the more I’m cracking up. It’s from these guys, Skybound Games and Darin Ross, so you know it’s gotta be good.
Now, I haven’t played the original game, but this expansion sounded too funny to pass up. I ordered it, and when it arrived, I ripped that box open like a kid on Christmas morning. Inside, there are 75 new cards—half perks, half red flags. The artwork is pretty cool, kinda quirky, and each card has some wild scenario or trait on it.
I gathered a few buddies, and we decided to give it a shot. We mixed the new cards with some from the base game (yeah, I ended up buying that too, don’t judge). Let me tell you, it was a riot. One of my friends had to pitch a date with someone who “wears a cape everywhere” but “can do your taxes in 5 minutes.” The arguments we came up with to make these dates sound appealing were ridiculous.
The whole night, we were just throwing these cards down, trying to outdo each other with the worst possible dates. We started making up these elaborate backstories for each character, just to sell it better. There was one point where I had to convince everyone that a date who “collects human teeth” was a good idea because they “have a Nobel Prize in Chemistry.” I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in a long time.
We played for hours, and even when we were done, we kept talking about it. It’s one of those games that just sticks with you, you know? The next day, I was still thinking about some of the combinations we came up with. It’s wild how creative you can get when you’re trying to make a terrible date sound good.
My Personal Take
Honestly, this “Red Flags Expansion” thing is a blast. If you’re into party games and you like a good laugh, you gotta check it out. It’s easy to learn, quick to play, and every game is different. Plus, it’s a great way to see how twisted your friends’ minds can get. I decided to make it a regular thing at our game nights.
- Get the game and expansion.
- Gather your most hilarious friends.
- Prepare for a night of non-stop laughter.
Seriously, it’s worth it. This game brought us so much fun, and I just had to share it. Give it a try, and let me know what crazy dates you come up with. You won’t regret it!
