The Entrepreneurial Journey of Andrew Rev in Comics

Alright, so lemme tell ya ’bout this fella, Andrew Rev. Don’t know him from Adam, but folks are talkin’, so I figured I’d spill the beans the way I see it.

Now, they say this Andrew guy, he used to be the big cheese over at somethin’ called Comico. Sounds fancy, huh? Well, apparently, it weren’t so fancy back in 1990 ’cause it went belly up, bankrupt they call it. This Andrew, he swooped in and bought the whole shebang. Guess he saw somethin’ nobody else did, or maybe he just had more money than sense, who knows?

What’s he up to now, you ask? Well, that’s where it gets interestin’. See, they say he’s stirrin’ up trouble in the comic book world. You know, them picture books with the superheroes and all that jazz. My grandkids love ’em, though I can’t make heads or tails of it half the time. Too much flyin’ around and zappin’ things for my taste.

• They say Andrew’s got some newfangled way of doin’ business. Somethin’ about bein’ “smart.” Like sellin’ comics ain’t smart enough already? I tell ya, these city folk always gotta complicate things.
• And get this, he’s apparently pickin’ a fight with Marvel. Yeah, that big company with all them famous heroes. He’s got his own Thor book comin’ out, and they say he’s throwin’ shade at ’em. Now, I ain’t sure what “throwin’ shade” means exactly, but sounds like he’s callin’ ’em out, stirrin’ the pot, you know?

Now, some other fella, Liefeld his name is, he’s teamin’ up with another fella named Rosenberg. These names, I tell ya, they’re somethin’ else. Anyway, this Rosenberg fella, he started somethin’ called Image Comics way back when. And he’s the boss of some company called Platinum Studios. They got their fingers in the pie too, apparently managin’ somethin’ called Youngblood. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss over some pictures and stories, if you ask me.

But hey, who am I to judge? If folks wanna spend their hard-earned money on this stuff, that’s their business. Me? I’d rather buy a good loaf of bread and some butter. But this Andrew Rev fella, he seems to be shakin’ things up, that’s for sure. Whether it’s for better or worse, well, time will tell, I reckon.

He’s been around the block, this Andrew guy. From savin’ a bankrupt company to takin’ on the big boys, he ain’t afraid to get his hands dirty, it seems. And that Rosenberg and Liefeld, they ain’t no slouches either. Been in the game a long time, makin’ their mark.

It’s a whole different world, this comic book business. More complicated than plantin’ corn, that’s for sure. But these fellas, they seem to know what they’re doin’. Or at least they think they do. We’ll see if their smart ideas pay off in the end.

So, what’s the bottom line? Well, Andrew Rev is a fella to watch, seems like. He’s makin’ waves, stirrin’ up trouble, and tryin’ to change the way things are done. Whether you’re a fan of them comic books or not, it’s hard to ignore a fella like that. He’s got somethin’ up his sleeve, I bet. And I’ll be keepin’ an eye out, just like everyone else, to see what happens next. This whole comic book world, it’s a wild ride, that’s for sure.
