Hey guys, I gotta tell you about this thing I’ve been working on. It’s been a real trip, but a fun one. So, I’m a big fan of Star Trek, you know, the whole shebang. And this new show, “Strange New Worlds,” it’s just awesome. The bridge of that ship, man, it’s iconic. So I thought, why not try to build it with LEGOs?

I started out just kinda messing around, you know, seeing what I could do. I dug out all my old LEGO bricks, a real mix of everything, and just started putting stuff together. It was a bit of a mess at first, trying to figure out what pieces would work for what parts of the bridge. But I kept at it, trying different things, taking stuff apart, and putting it back together again.
It was a real challenge, trying to get the shapes and the colors right. The bridge on the show is so detailed, and I really wanted to capture that. I spent hours looking at pictures, trying to get a good sense of the layout and all the little details.
I remember one time, I was trying to build the captain’s chair, and it just wasn’t working. I kept messing it up, and it was getting really frustrating. But I didn’t give up. I took a break, came back to it later, and finally figured it out. That was a good feeling.
- Started building – This was the very beginning, just getting my hands on the LEGO bricks and starting to put things together.
- Tried different pieces – I had to experiment a lot to find the right pieces for each part of the bridge.
- Looked at pictures – I spent a lot of time studying pictures of the bridge from the show to get the details right.
- Got frustrated, took breaks – There were times when it was tough, but I learned to take breaks and come back to it with fresh eyes.
- Figured it out – That moment when you finally solve a problem you’ve been struggling with, it’s the best feeling.
Slowly but surely, it started to come together. I built the main viewscreen, the consoles, the turbolift doors, all of it. It was like putting together a giant puzzle, but way more fun.
Seeing it Finished
And then, one day, it was done. I stepped back and looked at it, and I gotta say, I was pretty proud of myself. It wasn’t perfect, but it was my LEGO version of the Strange New Worlds bridge, and it looked pretty darn good.
It’s been a great project, a real labor of love. And it just goes to show, you can build anything with LEGOs, even the bridge of a starship!
