Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Pokemon Go lately, and let me tell you, this Staryu is a slippery little guy. I’ve been trying to get my hands on this one for a while. It’s a Water-type, you know? Anyway, I finally got a chance to track it down, so let’s get into it.

I started my day by firing up the app and checking out what was around. I noticed that Staryu was showing up more frequently in the wild, which was a good sign. They say it’s been like that from 3/12 to 7/12, so that got me pretty excited. I walked around my usual spots, you know, near the park and by the river. Those water types love hanging around those places.
After a couple of hours of searching, I found one! It popped up on my screen, and I almost dropped my phone. I tapped on it, and the battle began. I remembered reading somewhere that you gotta use its weaknesses against it. So I switched to my best Electric-type Pokemon, hoping that would do the trick. It was a good guess, because after a few good hits, that little star-shaped Pokemon was down for the count.
- Caught one Staryu!
- It was hiding in the wild.
- Electric-type Pokemon are super effective.
A Few More Details
I also heard that you can sometimes get Staryu from Raid Battles, though I haven’t tried that yet. And some folks say it hatches from eggs, too? I haven’t been that lucky. But hey, I’m not complaining. I finally added that Staryu to my collection, and that’s all that matters.
Anyway, that’s my Staryu story. It took some time and a bit of luck, but I finally got it. If you’re trying to catch one, just keep at it, and remember to use those Electric types! Maybe I can write something next time.
