Okay, so today I’m gonna talk about how I got that “Sonic the Hedgehog” claim, right? It all started a few months back when I saw the first trailer for the Sonic movie drop in April 2019. I’m a huge Sonic fan, have been since I was a kid playing it on my old Sega. So, naturally, I was hyped. But then, like a lot of people, I saw that CGI design for Sonic and I was like, “What the heck is this?” It just didn’t look right, you know?
I remember joining in with all the other fans online, kinda complaining about how Sonic looked. We all thought it was a bit off. I didn’t expect much to come of it, honestly. But then, bam! Just days later, I read somewhere, I think it was Yahoo, that they were gonna redo Sonic’s design. I couldn’t believe it! It’s not every day that movie studios listen to fans like that. This whole thing caused the movie to be pushed back by three months. I figured, “Hey, that’s a small price to pay for a better-looking Sonic.”
While waiting, I got into reading up more on the movie. I found out it’s rated PG. It means it’s cool for all ages, but maybe some stuff that parents might wanna watch out for. I thought about taking my little cousin to see it when it comes out. The reason why I wanted to get this claim is that I still love Sonic from way back in 1991 when I was playing the game, and I wanted to watch this movie in memory of that time.
My Little Adventure to Get the Sonic Movie Claim
But I got distracted by a bunch of stuff, so I wasn’t able to focus on trying to get the claim for the movie. Then a few days ago, I saw this offer from Epic Games Store—Sonic Mania was free for PC users! So, I snatched that up. Then I searched through a bunch of other places like Kohl’s, but nothing interesting came out of it.
So with the game secured, I focused back on the movie. I started to look into it more. Then I did some more digging and found out that Sonic’s weakness is water. Apparently, he can’t swim. I never knew that. It got me thinking about how they’re gonna show that in the movie, or if they even will. It’s these little details that get me excited about the film.
Anyway, after all that, I finally got the claim sorted out. I had to go through a few different sites and fill out some forms, but it was worth it. Now I’m all set to watch the movie as soon as it drops. I’m really looking forward to seeing how they’ve improved Sonic’s look and how the whole water thing plays out, if it does at all. It’s gonna be a fun ride, I’m sure of it. And who knows, maybe I’ll even get my little cousin into Sonic too. That would be pretty cool, right?
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure of claiming the Sonic movie. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m glad I stuck with it. Can’t wait to see my favorite blue hedgehog on the big screen again!
