Okay, so I’ve been messing around with my Elgato Stream Deck for a while now, and let me tell you, it’s a pretty sweet piece of kit. But I recently got my hands on these silver dials, and I wanted to see if I could make them work some magic on my Stream Deck Plus. I’m no expert, just a guy who likes to tinker, so bear with me.
First thing I did was download the Stream Deck software. It’s super easy to find on the Elgato website, and it’s available for both Mac and Windows. Once I had that installed, I plugged in my Stream Deck Plus and fired up the software.
Now, the Stream Deck Plus comes with these four dials at the bottom, and I wanted to set them up to control the volume for different games I play. I used to have a Beacn Mix that did something similar, but I wanted to see if I could do it all with the Stream Deck.
So, I started poking around in the Stream Deck software. It’s got this library of plugins you can use, and they make it really easy to assign actions to the buttons and dials. I found a plugin for system volume, which was a good start.
I dragged that plugin onto one of the dials, and boom, I could control my computer’s master volume with it. Pretty cool, right? But I wanted to go further. I wanted to be able to adjust the volume of individual games, not just the overall system volume.
- I spent some time digging through the plugin library.
- I messed around with some of the settings.
- I even tried to find some tutorials online.
After a little bit of trial and error, I figured out how to use the “Audio Mixer” plugin. This one lets you control the volume of specific applications. So, I set up each dial to control the volume of a different game I play regularly.
Now, here’s the kicker: those silver dials I mentioned earlier? They fit perfectly on the Stream Deck Plus. They just snap right on, and they give the whole thing a really nice, premium feel. Plus, they’re a bit bigger and easier to grip than the default dials, which is great for making precise adjustments.
So, there you have it. I managed to get my Stream Deck Plus set up just the way I wanted, with those shiny silver dials controlling the volume for all my games. It took a little bit of experimenting, but it was definitely worth it. Now, whenever I switch between games, I can easily tweak the volume without even taking my hands off the Stream Deck. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference in my gaming setup. It makes playing games a lot better and more fun. And it makes me feel like a pro gamer, even though I’m not.
