So, I heard about this new comic book called Plague Seeker and thought I’d give it a shot. I’ve always been a fan of comics, and the whole idea of monstrous beings ruling over Earth sounded pretty rad. Plus, it’s from Charlie “MoistCritikal” White, and I dig his stuff, so why not?

First thing I did was try to find out where to get it. Turns out, it’s published by Bad Egg Publishing. They’ve got a few other titles, but Plague Seeker is one of their big new series for this year. Seemed like a big deal.
I managed to order a copy of Plague Seeker #1 online. It’s a thick one, about 80 pages, which is way more than your usual comic. I guess they’re really going all in on this one. The art is by this artist called Vamkire Trannel. Never heard of him before, but the art looked pretty slick from what I saw online.
Waiting Game
Now, here’s where things got a bit annoying. I ordered the comic like two and a half weeks ago, and there was zero, and I mean ZERO updates on the shipping. Nothing. Radio silence. I even tried to contact Bad Egg directly about it, but no reply. It’s like they took my money and then just ghosted me. Not cool, man.
I started digging around online to see if anyone else was having the same problem. Found a few discussions where people were talking about Plague Seeker. Some were reviews, talking about the story and the art. Others were just like me, complaining about the shipping delays and lack of communication. Misery loves company, right?
Finally Arrived
After what felt like forever, the comic finally arrived. Of course I was gonna read it now. The story is about these giant monsters called The Great Plagues that rule the Earth, and let me tell you, they’re not exactly friendly looking. I don’t want to give away too much of the plot, but it’s got some intense moments. The art by Vamkire Trannel is actually pretty good, once I got to see it up close. It’s dark and detailed, really suits the vibe of the story.
I also found out that Charlie White is working with Sakowski Studios on this comic. They’ve done some music videos and stuff before, so it’s a bit of a weird combo, but hey, it seems to be working for them. From what little I saw, it looked interesting, so at least I wasn’t bored.
Overall Thoughts
- Story: Pretty interesting, it held my interest even though I was getting annoyed from the delay.
- Art: Dark and detailed, and I liked it.
- Shipping: A total nightmare. Bad Egg, you guys need to get your act together.
So, yeah, that’s my whole experience with Plague Seeker so far. It’s a cool comic with a cool story and cool art, but the whole ordering process was a pain in the butt. If you’re thinking about getting it, just be prepared to wait, and maybe don’t expect too much communication from the publisher.
