So, I’ve been seeing all this hype around the Mountain Dew Game Fuel sodas lately, and I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and give them a shot. I’ve always been a fan of Mountain Dew, but these “Game Fuel” editions were new to me.
First off, I went on a little hunt to track these bad boys down. I started with the convenience store around the corner, but no luck there. Then I hit up a couple of different grocery stores, still nothing. Finally, I ended up at Walmart, and there it was, shining like a beacon of sugary goodness – the Citrus Cherry Game Fuel. From what I read online, this one’s supposed to be the legendary flavor, the OG, so I grabbed a couple of bottles.
When I got home, I popped one in the fridge to chill. I couldn’t wait to crack it open. After a couple of hours, I figured it was cold enough. I twisted off the cap, and that familiar fizzing sound filled the air. I took a big swig, and oh man, the rumors were true. This stuff is like liquid candy. The citrus and cherry flavors hit you right away, and it’s just the right amount of sweet and tart. It totally lives up to the hype in my opinion.
But my journey didn’t stop there. I also saw someone online talking about a “Mystic Punch” flavor, and they said it had this cool purple color. I’m a sucker for anything colorful, so I had to find it. I went back to the store and looked around. I found one. This one’s also pretty darn good. It’s got that classic fruit punch taste, but with an extra kick. It’s definitely a solid choice if you’re into those fruity flavors.
- First, tried the Citrus Cherry. It was so great.
- Then, I found the Mystic Punch. I like its purple color very much.
Now, I’ve heard some people say that the Citrus Cherry is what the original Game Fuel flavor was way back in the day. I can totally see why. It’s got that nostalgic vibe to it. I’ve also seen some folks comparing it to other Mountain Dew flavors, like Voltage. I’ve tried Voltage before, and while it’s good, it’s just not the same. Citrus Cherry has this unique thing going on that I can’t quite put my finger on. And I also see someone saying it’s the best soda ever online, I think I might agree with this guy.
My Final Thought
Overall, I’m really glad I decided to give these Game Fuel sodas a try. They’re definitely a fun and tasty treat, especially if you’re a fan of Mountain Dew. I’ll probably be picking up some more of these in the future, especially that Citrus Cherry. If you see them around, I’d definitely recommend giving them a shot. You might just find your new favorite soda!
