Okay, let’s talk about my experience with the Mega Manectric raid in Pokemon GO.
So, I saw that Mega Manectric was back in Pokemon GO raids. I was like, “Cool, I gotta try this!” I’ve been playing for a while, and I knew this Mega version is like, the strongest form of Manectric. It’s an Electric-type, so I had to prepare myself with some Ground-type Pokemon.
Getting Ready
First things first, I checked my Pokemon roster. I needed some strong Ground-types to counter Mega Manectric’s Electric attacks. I found my best options were:
- Mega Garchomp: This guy is a beast! It’s Dragon and Ground, which is perfect.
- Shadow Garchomp: Almost as good as the Mega version, but still, super strong.
- Excadrill: I’ve always liked Excadrill. It’s Ground and Steel, and it hits hard.
- Shadow Excadrill: A souped-up version of my regular Excadrill.
I made sure these guys were powered up as much as possible. I used up a bunch of Stardust and Candies, but hey, it’s worth it, right?
The Raid Battle
I found a Mega Manectric raid nearby and jumped right in. Now, some folks online were saying you could solo this raid. I was a bit skeptical, but I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”
The battle started, and man, Mega Manectric was tough! It was throwing out these crazy Electric attacks, but my Ground-type team held their own. Mega Garchomp was definitely the MVP, dealing tons of damage. Shadow Garchomp and both Excadrills were also doing great.
It was a close one, but I managed to beat Mega Manectric just as the timer was running out. I was so pumped! Soloing a Mega raid is no joke, but with the right Pokemon and a bit of luck, it’s totally doable.
Catching Manectric
After the raid, you don’t get to catch Mega Manectric directly. Instead, you get a chance to catch regular Manectric. I threw some Golden Razz Berries and used Ultra Balls, and luckily, I caught it! It wasn’t a perfect IV one, but I was still happy to add it to my collection.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Mega Manectric raid was a blast. It was challenging but rewarding. If you’re planning to try it, make sure you have some strong Ground-types ready. And hey, if you can solo it, even better! It’s a great feeling. Just remember, you can’t catch it in its Mega form, but you’ll get a regular Manectric, which is still pretty cool. Good luck, trainers!
