Alright, folks, gather ’round. Today, I’m gonna share something pretty cool I did with a Motoko Kusanagi action figure. Yeah, that badass cyborg from “Ghost in the Shell.” I’ve always been a huge fan of the series, and when I saw this new figure from Hiya Toys, I just had to get my hands on it.

So, first things first, I ordered the figure online. It’s a 1:12 scale model, which means it’s about 14.5cm tall. When the package arrived, I was stoked. The box art itself was pretty neat, but, man, the figure inside was even better.
I carefully took her out of the box and started checking out all the details. The first thing I noticed was that she looks just like the way she appears in the “Stand Alone Complex” series. It’s awesome.
Next, I played around with the articulation. This figure has a bunch of joints, so you can pose her in all sorts of action stances. I spent a good hour just moving her arms, legs, and head, trying out different poses. It’s super fun, and the joints are pretty sturdy, so she holds the poses well.
- I made her stand in a fighting pose, ready to take on some bad guys.
- Then, I had her sitting down, looking all thoughtful and cool.
- I even tried to recreate some iconic scenes from the anime.
Photo Session
After I was done playing around, I decided to take some photos. I’m no professional photographer, but I think they turned out pretty decent. I set up a simple backdrop and used my phone’s camera to snap a few shots. I tried to capture her in different lighting conditions to see how the figure looks under various lights.
I even took a few close-up shots to highlight the details on her face and outfit. The paint job is really well done, and the sculpt captures her likeness perfectly. You can really see the intensity in her eyes.
Sharing with Fellow Fans
Once I was happy with the photos, I posted them on a couple of “Ghost in the Shell” fan forums. I wanted to share my excitement with other fans and see what they thought of the figure. The response was overwhelmingly positive. People were really impressed with the quality and detail of the figure, and many said they were now considering getting one for themselves.
Some folks even asked me for tips on posing and photographing the figure, which I was happy to provide. It’s always great to connect with fellow fans and share our passion for this amazing series.
In the end, this whole experience was a blast. I got to add an awesome new piece to my collection, had fun posing and photographing it, and connected with other fans. If you’re a “Ghost in the Shell” fan, I highly recommend checking out this Motoko Kusanagi figure from Hiya Toys. It’s a great addition to any collection, and it’s sure to bring a smile to your face.
