Lego Marvel Goliath Set: Cool Features You Should Know

Well now, let me tell you about this… this… Lego Marvel Goliath thing. I ain’t never seen nothin’ like it. My grandkids, they’re all crazy about it. Always yellin’ ‘bout “Goliath” and “Marvel” and some such nonsense. Keeps ‘em busy though, so I ain’t complainin’ too much.

First off, what even is a “Goliath”? Sounds like some kinda giant from the Bible stories they told me in Sunday school way back when. But this here Goliath, he’s… a Lego? Lord have mercy, what will they think of next? Back in my day, we played with rocks and sticks. Now these young’uns, they got tiny plastic fellers that cost a fortune. Imagine that!

From what I gather, this Lego Goliath fella is some kinda superhero. Seems like everybody’s a superhero these days. Can’t even watch the TV without some fella flyin’ around in tights. This Goliath, though, he’s… bigger, I guess. My grandson showed me a picture. He’s purple and got these big ol’ hands. Looks kinda mean, if you ask me.

This here Lego Goliath, he ain’t just by hisself, mind you. He’s part of a whole set. A “Marvel” set, they call it. Like a whole bunch of these little plastic people all together. My grandkids, they got a whole box full of ‘em. Spiderman, and Iron Man… and this Agatha lady with her funny hair. Keeps ‘em entertained for hours, I tell ya. Sometimes I think they like these little plastic folks more than they like their own grandma! Can you believe that?

• They got this little Agatha Harkness one. Witchy lookin’ thing, she is.
• And Hawkeye, he’s got a bow and arrow. Always shootin’ at stuff, even the cat.
• Beast…well, he looks like a blue hairy monster. Kinda reminds me of that ol’ dog down the street.
• And then there’s this Echo lady… quiet type, I reckon.

They tell me this Lego Goliath is a pretty big deal. Comes in some kinda special bag, a “blind bag,” they say. You don’t know what you’re gonna get ‘til you open it up. Like a pig in a poke, I say. But these kids, they get all excited about it. Trading ‘em with their friends, arguin’ over who got the “rare” ones. Land sakes, it’s enough to drive an old woman crazy. They even use an app on their phones… somethin’ ’bout scannin’ somethin’ called a “QR code.” Sounds mighty complicated to me.

Now, I hear tell these Lego things can be worth a pretty penny. Some of them old ones, they cost more than my house, I betcha. This here Lego Goliath, I don’t know how much he’s worth. But them grandkids of mine, they treat him like he’s made of gold. Always careful not to lose him, puttin’ him up on a special shelf when they ain’t playin’ with him. Precious little things, aren’t they?

They started makin’ these Marvel Lego sets a long time ago, they did. Way back in 2012, I heard. Started with them Avengers fellas. Now they got all sorts of characters. Even made one outta solid gold one time, can you believe it? Two hundred thousand dollars, they say it’s worth. Lord have mercy, what a waste of money. Could feed a whole town with that kinda cash.

So, that’s the story of this Lego Marvel Goliath, as best as I can tell it. He’s a big purple fella, part of a big set of little plastic people. Keeps the grandkids happy, and that’s all that matters, I reckon. Though I still think they’d be better off playin’ outside in the fresh air. But times have changed, haven’t they? Everything’s all fancy and digital now. Makes an old woman’s head spin.

But as long as they ain’t gettin’ into too much trouble, and them little plastic fellas are keepin’ ‘em outta my hair, I ain’t gonna complain too much. Just hope they don’t start expectin’ me to understand all this “Marvel Universe” mumbo jumbo. I got enough on my plate tryin’ to figure out how to use this newfangled cell phone they got me. Now THAT’S a real Goliath of a problem! And they keep talkin’ about “Phase 5”… I don’t know nothin’ ‘bout no Phase 5. Back in my day, we had phases of the moon, and that was about it.

So there you have it. Lego Goliath. A big purple fella, in a little bag, costin’ a pretty penny, and makin’ my grandkids happy as clams. That’s all there is to it, as far as I’m concerned. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. Them grandkids will be hungry after all that Lego playin’!
