Alright, alright, let me tell you ’bout this Kerpow comic, ya hear? It ain’t like them fancy books with all the big words and complicated stories. This one’s got some punch, just like a good ol’ bar fight!

So, there’s this fella, Jacob. Poor kid, he saw somethin’ no young’un should ever see. His pa, just a low-down henchman, you know, the kind that does the dirty work, he messed up real bad. Accidentally killed the biggest heroes around, the main man and his sidekick. Kablam! Gone, just like that. That kinda thing messes with a boy’s head, y’know?
Years go by, Jacob’s all grown up, but that hurtin’ inside, it ain’t gone away. He’s carryin’ that weight, see? Then, wham! Someone tries to kill his pa, and Jacob almost gets it too. Lands him in the hospital, waking up in the hospital, all beat up and probably confused as a chicken with its head cut off. That’s where the real story starts, I reckon.
Now, I ain’t read the whole thing yet, mind you, but it sounds like the kinda story that gets your blood pumpin’. It ain’t for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. It’s got that “Wanted” and “Kick-Ass” feel to it, if you know them ones. Lots of action, lots of tough guys, and probably a whole lotta cussin’ too.
They say this Kerpow comic is a brand new series. That means there’s gonna be more comin’, see? This first one, it’s called Kerpow #1, and it’s the first of three, they say. A fella named Tom Fyans wrote it, and another fella, Julio Brilha, drew all the pictures. Pretty good pictures, too, from what I’ve seen. Colorful and all, not like them old, faded comics from back in the day.
- The story’s written by Tom Fyans.
- The pictures are by Julio Brilha.
- The colors are by Rod Fernandes.
- And the letters, you know, the words in the bubbles, they’re by Marco Della Verde.
They even got this Rod Fernandes fella doin’ the colors and Marco Della Verde puttin’ in the words. Takes a whole team to make one of these things, ain’t that somethin’? More folks than it takes to run a whole farm, I tell ya.
This Kerpow #1, it came out on September 18th. You can find it in stores, or you can buy it online. I saw it at this place called G-Mart Comics. They even give you a discount if you sign up for their service, whatever that is. Fifty percent off, they say! Sounds like a good deal if you ask me.
Now, some folks collect these comics, you know? Like they’re worth somethin’ special. They keep ’em all nice and neat in plastic bags, can you believe it? Reminds me of my grandma keepin’ her good china all wrapped up. This Kerpow comic, it might be worth somethin’ someday, who knows? Maybe it’ll be as rare and valuable as that first Superman comic, or that Detective Comics #27. Them books, they’re worth more than a whole herd of cattle, I hear.
But me? I just wanna read a good story, somethin’ to take my mind off things. And this Kerpow comic, it sounds like just the ticket. So, if you’re lookin’ for a bit of excitement, a bit of that ol’ rough-and-tumble action, go on and give it a try. Just don’t blame me if you can’t put it down!

And that’s all I gotta say about that Kerpow comic. It ain’t Shakespeare, but it’ll keep you entertained. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens.
