Well, well, well, it looks like Guzzlord is comin’ back to those five-star raids again in 2024! Yup, from July 8th to July 9th, you’ll be able to take a crack at this big ol’ Ultra Beast. Now, don’t get too excited, this creature ain’t easy to beat. But if you know what you’re doin’, you might just get yourself a shiny one! And let me tell ya, that shiny one is somethin’ else. It’s got this fancy mix of white and orange colors that’ll make you look twice.

Now, for all you folks that ain’t too familiar with Guzzlord, lemme tell ya. It’s one of those big ol’ Ultra Beasts from the Pokémon Sun and Moon games. Ain’t no joke. It’s a big, hungry beast that don’t take kindly to just any ol’ Pokémon. So, you’re gonna need the best of the best to take it down, especially since it’s got a whole lot of health and hits real hard.
So, what should you bring to this raid? Well, I ain’t gonna leave you hangin’. If you want to have a good shot at bringin’ down Guzzlord, you’ll need to pick the right Pokémon. Fairy-types are your best bet. Yeah, I know, Fairy-types seem a bit delicate, but don’t let that fool ya. They’re powerful against Guzzlord. But—now, listen close—you gotta watch out for Guzzlord’s Sludge Bomb move. That stuff’ll hurt your fairies if you’re not careful.
Best Pokémon to fight Guzzlord:
- Gengar – This one’s a classic. It’s quick, powerful, and it’s got a great move pool to deal with Guzzlord.
- Toxtricity – Don’t underestimate this one. It’s got some real punch and can make a difference in the raid.
- Dragon-types – They pack a punch with moves like Dragon Claw and Outrage, but watch out for Guzzlord’s attacks.
- Ice-types – They’re good, but you gotta be careful. Guzzlord can hit back pretty hard if you’re not prepared.
If you’ve got these Pokémon in your roster, you’re on the right track. Just make sure to power them up as best as you can before hittin’ that raid battle. You don’t want to bring a weak team to something as tough as Guzzlord.
What about the Remote Raid Pass? Oh, I almost forgot! From July 8th to July 11th, you’ll be able to use up to 20 Remote Raid Passes a day. That’s a pretty big increase, so if you’re lookin’ to do a whole lotta raids, this’ll help you out. After that, from July 12th to July 14th, there won’t be any limits at all on those Remote Raids. So, if you’re sittin’ at home and don’t wanna go anywhere, you can still join in the fun!
Now, it ain’t all just about the raids, though. If you’re lucky, you might even run into a shiny Guzzlord. That would be somethin’ to show off, wouldn’t it? Imagine pullin’ up to the next raid with that shiny one in your collection! But, fair warning, that shiny ain’t easy to get. You might have to fight a whole lotta Guzzlords before you get one, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
When’s the best time for a Guzzlord raid? Well, look out for the Raid Hour on July 8th. That’s when the action will be the hottest. A lot of people will be joining in, so you’ll have plenty of chances to take Guzzlord down with other trainers. It’s always good to have backup, especially with a tough one like Guzzlord.
So, in short, get your best Pokémon ready, don’t forget about the Remote Raid Passes, and make sure you show up for that Raid Hour. If you follow all that, you should be able to handle this big beast no problem!

Good luck out there, and may the shiny Guzzlord be in your future!
