Well, I gotta say, folks, after watchin’ this “Halloween Ends,” I ain’t too happy ’bout it. Now, I been watchin’ them Halloween movies for years, ever since that first one come out back in the day. But let me tell ya, this one here—“Halloween Ends”–ain’t what I thought it’d be. No sir, not at all.

You see, they made this whole trilogy with that new director, David Gordon Green, and it started off real good, with “Halloween” back in 2018. It had that good ol’ Michael Myers scarin’ the life outta folks, and it seemed like they was gonna wrap things up real nice. But this last one, “Halloween Ends”? Well, let me tell ya, it sure don’t end well at all.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I know it’s supposed to be the final chapter of this new trilogy, but instead of stickin’ to what made the whole thing good in the first place, they went off and started messin’ around with a new fella called Corey Cunningham. Now, I don’t know who that is, but they spent most of the movie on him. And honestly, I don’t care ‘bout him. He ain’t no Michael Myers. We want the real deal, not some sidekick who’s got no business being there. It’s like if you went to a chicken dinner and they served you a plate of beans instead. Ain’t what you came for, ya know?
So what happened to Michael? They spent so much time with Corey, I forgot what the movie was even about. People were expectin’ some big showdown, some epic ending to this saga, but instead we got a whole lotta nothin’. Now, I ain’t sayin’ that it wasn’t scary, but to be honest, after a while, the only thing that scared me was how much they messed it all up. The script was all over the place, the story didn’t make no sense, and them actors—bless their hearts—didn’t do much to save the mess. I mean, I reckon they tried, but it just wasn’t good. Not good at all.
And, let me tell ya, the fans was mad. Folks was hopin’ for a grand finale, but instead, they felt like they got cheated. And they had a good reason to feel that way, I reckon. When you’ve been watchin’ these movies for so long, you expect some kind of closure, a big ol’ conclusion that ties it all together. But nah, they left too many loose ends, and didn’t even bother to tie ‘em up. A lotta questions from the earlier movies were just left hangin’ in the air, like laundry on a line that never got taken down.
To make matters worse, the box office numbers weren’t even good. The movie made some money, sure, but not near as much as they thought it would. And don’t even get me started on the Rotten Tomatoes score. Folks didn’t like it one bit. They gave it a 57% audience score, and let me tell ya, that’s not a good sign. When the people who watched it ain’t happy, you know something’s wrong.
Now, I’m all for a new idea, but if you’re gonna take a movie like “Halloween” and change it all up, you gotta do it right. This wasn’t right. It didn’t feel like a proper end to the saga. It felt more like a cash grab, a way to squeeze out just a little more money from a tired franchise. And that’s a shame, ‘cause Michael Myers, he deserves better than this.
What could’ve been an epic conclusion to this trilogy just turned into a big ol’ disappointment. I was hopin’ for something that would give me chills, somethin’ that would make me think, “Yeah, that’s how it should’ve ended.” But nah, instead we got a bunch of folks sittin’ around, talkin’ ‘bout some Corey fella, and not enough of Michael doing what he does best—scarin’ folks outta their boots.
And you know what the worst part is? They tried to make us feel sorry for Corey. They tried to make it seem like he was misunderstood, like he was just a victim of circumstances, but that ain’t what we came to see. We came to see Michael Myers be the big, scary monster that he is, not some new kid gettin’ all the attention.

Now, I ain’t no film critic, but even I can tell when a movie’s gone off track. And this one, folks, it sure did. It didn’t have the heart of the earlier films, and it didn’t have the same scares either. It’s just a shame that after all these years, the Halloween series had to go out like this. And you know what? I ain’t even mad anymore—I’m just sad. Sad that a franchise that once scared the daylights outta me ended up like this.
So if you were expectin’ a big ol’ bang for this final chapter, don’t bother watchin’ it. It ain’t worth it. You’ll be just as disappointed as I was. I’ll stick to watchin’ the older ones, thank ya very much.
