Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this thing called “Gun Honey” lately. It’s a comic, or a graphic novel, or whatever you wanna call it. I got into it because, well, I like a good action story, and the cover looked kinda cool. Plus, I heard the guy who started it, Charles Ardai, knows a thing or two about crime stories.
So, I grabbed a copy and started reading. The main character is this woman named Joanna Tan. Sounds simple, right? She’s not your average girl. She’s what they call a “gun honey” – basically, she’s really good at getting guns to people who need them, no questions asked. Real sneaky-like.
First, I thought it was just about her doing her usual thing, you know, getting guns to folks for whatever reason. But then the story takes a turn. She plants a gun for someone, thinking it’s a regular job. Nope. Turns out, that gun gets used in some big prison riot, and people get hurt, or worse.
- This is where it gets interesting.
Suddenly, Joanna’s not just a gun runner anymore. She’s in deep. The U.S. government, the big guys, they force her to work with this agent named Brook Barrow. Their mission? To track down this dangerous criminal who escaped during the riot. Talk about a mess.
I kept reading, and man, it’s non-stop action. It’s not like those stories where they try to be all clever with mysteries. This one just throws you right into the middle of everything. There’s like, four different groups all after the same thing, and they all end up in this one place. You can imagine what happens next. It’s like a powder keg ready to explode, and it does!
I finished all 112 pages pretty quick. It’s a softcover, so it’s easy to just flip through. What I really liked was how this Joanna character handles herself. She’s tough, she’s smart, and she doesn’t take crap from anyone.
To sum it up
Got into “Gun Honey” on a whim, ended up really enjoying it. It’s a fast, fun read with a cool main character, a lot of action, and some unexpected twists. If you’re into that kind of stuff, you might wanna check it out.
