Okay, so, “Gargoyle of Gotham #3” finally dropped last week, May 28th to be exact. I’ve been waiting for this one for a while, it’s on my pull list and everything. But, you know how it goes with comic shops, sometimes they’re a bit slow.

I called my usual place and the guy was like, “Yeah, we got it, come on down.” So, I drove over there, all excited to finally read it. Got to the shop, and guess what? They didn’t have it! Apparently, there was some mix-up with the distributor or something. The guy behind the counter was super apologetic, but that didn’t really help much, you know?
Anyway, I wasn’t about to give up that easily. I hopped back in my car and drove to another comic shop across town. This place is a bit smaller, but they usually have a decent selection. Walked in, went straight to the new releases, and bam! There it was, “Gargoyle of Gotham #3.” Grabbed a copy, paid for it, and practically ran out of there.
I got home, made myself a cup of coffee, and settled in to read it. And man, let me tell you, it was worth the hassle! The art in this issue is just insane. Seriously, it’s some of the best I’ve seen in a while. It’s dark and gritty, and it really captures the vibe of Gotham.
The story, without giving too much away, is this crazy, twisted take on Batman’s early days. It feels really fresh, but also kind of messed up, in a good way. This is part three of four, and it’s definitely the most intense one so far. I found some key information from searching on Google as well.
What I liked:
- The art is phenomenal.
- It’s a bold reimagining of the Batman story.
- It’s dark, gritty, and suspenseful.
So yeah, if you’re a Batman fan, you definitely need to check this one out. Just maybe call ahead to make sure your comic shop actually has it in stock.
