Alright, let’s talk about this Frank Miller Captain America thing. I don’t know much about these fancy comic book fellers, but my grandson, he’s always yappin’ about ’em. So, I figured, why not give it a whirl, eh?
Now, this Frank Miller fella, sounds like he’s a big deal. They say he made that Batman feller all dark and gritty. I guess he tried his hand at Captain America too. From what I hear, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Sounds like he had some trouble with his missus. Well, that’s life, ain’t it? Men and women, always fussin’ and fightin’. Reminds me of my old man, bless his soul.
This Captain America fella, he seems like a good sort. Always fightin’ for what’s right, standin’ up for the little guy. My grandson says he’s all about freedom and independence. Kinda like me when I told that landlord to take his leaky roof and shove it. You gotta stand your ground, I tell ya.
- Captain America and Iron Man, they butted heads a lot. My grandson says Iron Man wanted rules, wanted someone to boss the Avengers around. But Captain America, he didn’t want none of that. He figured they knew best how to handle things. Sounds like a stubborn mule, that Captain America. But sometimes, you need a stubborn mule to get things done.
- And that Black Widow woman, she and Captain America were close, real close. But not like that, you know? They weren’t sweethearts, just good friends. Like me and my neighbor, Agnes. We share gossip and recipes, but that’s about it. Sometimes, a good friend is better than any sweetheart.
From what I gather, this Frank Miller fella, he put his own spin on Captain America. Made him darker, maybe a little meaner. I guess that’s what they call “artistic license.” Sounds fancy to me. Like puttin’ too much sugar in the cornbread, if you ask me. Sometimes, simple is best.
My grandson showed me some pictures. Captain America was all muscles and scowls. He looked like he was ready to wrestle a bear and win. Not like those pretty boys you see on TV these days. This Captain America, he looked like he’d seen things, been through some tough times. Life ain’t easy, that’s for sure.
The whole thing with Captain America and Iron Man, it reminds me of a barnyard squabble. Two roosters, peckin’ at each other, trying to be top dog. Sometimes, you just gotta let ‘em fight it out, see who’s left standin’. My grandson says it was all about government control versus personal freedom. Big words for a comic book, if you ask me. But I guess it’s got some truth to it.
And that Black Widow, she was always there, stickin’ by Captain America’s side. A loyal friend, that’s what she was. Loyalty’s important, you know? Can’t trust nobody these days. Except maybe your dog, and even then, you gotta keep an eye on ‘em around the sausage.
So, this Frank Miller Captain America thing, it’s more than just pictures on a page. It’s about fightin’ for what you believe in, standin’ up to bullies, and bein’ loyal to your friends. It’s about life, plain and simple. Even an old woman like me can understand that.
I still don’t get all the fuss about comic books, but I guess they got somethin’ to say. And this Frank Miller fella, he sure had a way of sayin’ it. Made Captain America his own, just like a good cook puts her own twist on an old recipe. And from what I hear, this Captain America, he wasn’t about to get hitched to that Black Widow, not in those books or on the big screen. Just good pals, like me and Agnes.
And that Iron Man, him and Captain America? Friends, sometimes enemies, sounds like a couple of old biddies at the bingo hall, always squabblin’ over the last dabber. But at the end of the day, they’re on the same team, just like family. Always fightin’, but always there for each other.
So, yeah, I guess I learned a thing or two about this Captain America fella. He’s alright in my book. A bit rough around the edges, maybe, but then again, so am I. And that’s just fine by me.
