Today, I wanna talk about my trip to the Bedrock City Comic Con. I’d heard about it for a while, so I figured I’d finally check it out.
First off, I started looking into what this thing even was. Turns out it’s a free mini comic convention that happens at different places. They had one at No Label Brewery, and another at Bad Astronaut Brewing Co. Sounded pretty cool, so I marked my calendar for the one at No Label Brewery on October 22nd. They were gonna have 60+ vendors there, which got me pretty hyped.
So, the day finally rolls around, and I head over to the brewery. When I got there, the place was packed! People everywhere, checking out all sorts of stuff. I started browsing around, and man, there was so much to see. Comic books, toys, art, you name it.
- Comics Galore: I saw tons of comic books, from the classics to the new releases. I even snagged a few that I’d been wanting to add to my collection.
- Toy Heaven: There were toys everywhere. Action figures, statues, collectibles. It was like a toy store exploded in there.
- Art Attack: I also checked out the local artists’ section. They had some really cool stuff – prints, original art, all sorts of things. I ended up buying a print from one artist, which I can’t wait to put on my wall.
I also heard that at one of their events, maybe the one at Stafford Centre on October 5-6, you could even meet some big names like Jim Lee and Jeff Smith. Wish I was there for that!
And it wasn’t just about shopping. The vibe there was awesome. Everyone was super friendly, chatting about their favorite comics and characters. It was like one big, geeky family.
After spending a few hours wandering around and checking everything out, I decided to grab a drink and just chill for a bit. I sat down, looked at all the cool stuff I’d bought, and just soaked in the atmosphere. It was a really fun day, you know?
All in all, I’d say the Bedrock City Comic Con was a blast. It’s not just for die-hard comic collectors, anyone can have a good time there. If you’re ever in the area when one of these events is happening, you should totally check it out. You won’t regret it!
