Well, well, well, lookie here! DC somethin’ or other for May 2024. Heard some folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the market. Sounds like a whole lotta hubbub over some funny books, if you ask me.

They got this fella, Superman, used to be a big shot. Everybody loved him. Flew around, strong as an ox. Now, seems like folks ain’t too keen on him no more. This DC solicitations May 2024 thing, it’s like, what they call it? A list? Yeah, a list of all them comic books comin’ out. And Superman, he ain’t sellin’ like he used to. Same with that Justice League bunch. Bunch of folks in tights, fightin’ bad guys. You’d think people’d eat that up. But nope.

This whole thing, this DC, stands for, uh, Detective Comics. Sounds silly, don’t it? Like some kid made it up. And they used to have a big ol’ office, all fancy-like. Now? They gotta pack up their bags and move. Like they’re runnin’ from somethin’. Heard they’re mergin’ with some other company. Warner Brothers somethin’. Big company. Lots of money. Maybe that will be good for DC.

I reckon folks just got tired of the same ol’ stories. Gotta keep things fresh, you know? Like my garden. Can’t just plant the same ol’ tomatoes every year. Gotta mix it up a bit. Throw in some peppers, maybe some squash. Keep it interestin’. Maybe that’s what DC needs to do. Shake things up.

This one fella, Nightwing, sounds interestin’. And this other one, Batman/Superman, somethin’ about World’s Finest. Seems like their stories are comin’ to an end, this May 2024. End of an era, I suppose. Like when my old dog, Buster, finally went to doggy heaven. Sad, but, you know, life goes on.

And this other thing, Batman number somethin’ high, 158 I think. Heard it’s a big deal. Guess Batman’s still popular. He’s been around forever, that one. Like that old oak tree in my backyard. Seen a lot of things, that tree. And Batman, he’s seen a lot of villains, I reckon.

These DC solicitations, they come out every month, I think. Tellin’ folks what’s comin’ up next. Like a little sneak peek. Like lookin’ through a crack in the barn door to see what the new calf looks like.

I remember when I was a little girl, we didn’t have these fancy comic books. We had to make up our own stories. Used our imaginations. Maybe that’s what folks need to do more of these days. Put down them fancy gadgets and use their brains a bit.

This whole DC May 2024 solicitations thing, it’s just a sign of the times, I guess. Things change. People change. What was popular yesterday ain’t popular today.
