Well now, you know how it is when the cold winds start blowin’ and the leaves start fallin’, all them comic book lovers start wonderin’ what’s comin’ up next, don’t they? October 2024’s Dark Horse solicitations is just one of them things that gets folks talkin’. So let’s sit down a spell and talk about all the goodies they’ve got lined up for us this time around, ‘cause there’s plenty to look forward to, I tell ya!

What’s New With Dark Horse?
Now, first things first. Dark Horse Comics is always mixin’ things up, and October’s no different. They’re offerin’ some brand new titles that are sure to grab your attention. If you’re a fan of Star Wars, well, you’re in luck! They’ve got some new issues comin’ out under their Star Wars line. Yep, you heard right—there’s more stories from a galaxy far, far away, and they’re goin’ to keep folks busy, whether it’s a Battle of Jakku or somethin’ else. Some folks been talkin’ about that 12-issue story, and if you’ve been keepin’ track of it, you’ll be happy to know we’re gettin’ a chunk of it this month!
Now, what really caught my eye was the new Living Hell #1 comic book. This here’s got a little bit of everything—humor, heart, and a fair bit of darkness to keep ya turnin’ the pages. If you’re a fan of shows like Buffy or Good Omens, you’ll be right at home with this one. It’s got a character named Jerome Jameel who’s livin’ through some tough times, and from the looks of it, he’s got a bit of a wild ride ahead of him.
Dark Horse and the Big Names
Now, you might be wonderin’, “What about them big names in the comic book world?” Well, Dark Horse ain’t shy about workin’ with some real big talents. If you’re a fan of them creator-owned series like Hellboy or The Umbrella Academy, they’ve still got plenty of them for ya. But they’re also bringin’ in some licensed titles that folks can’t get enough of, like Stranger Things and The Witcher. These comics are always a hit, no doubt about it.
New Releases for October
- Cyberpunk 2077: Psycho Squad – A real dark and gritty story about MaxTac, the most dangerous group in Night City. This one’s got Dan Watters as the writer, and Kieran McKeown on art. It’s gonna be somethin’ fierce.
- Jupiter’s Legacy: Finale – Now, if you’ve been followin’ this one, you’ll know that it’s comin’ to a close. Folks been waitin’ for the end, and October’s gonna bring it. Ain’t no better time to catch up if you’ve missed any of it.
- Where Monsters Lie: Cull-De-Sac – Sounds like a creepy one, don’t it? Dark Horse has got some great horror and thriller comics comin’ out this month, and this one’s no exception. Get ready to be on the edge of your seat.
Some Old Favorites
If you’re like me, you like the old stuff just as much as the new. Dark Horse ain’t forgotten the folks who love the classics. This month, they’ve got a whole mess of omnibuses comin’ out, includin’ some for Black Panther and Daredevil. Now, I don’t know about you, but I love a good omnibus. You get all them stories in one big, fancy book, and you can just sit back and read ‘em all day long. That’s the good stuff right there.

Now, as for them big ol’ hardcover books, Dark Horse’s got more comin’ out, too. Like this one I saw for $49.99—224 pages of pure action, all wrapped up in a nice hardcover. Not bad if you ask me. But don’t wait too long to grab ’em, ’cause them books always sell out quick!
In the End, It’s All About the Fans
At the end of the day, it’s all about what the fans want. Dark Horse knows how to give folks what they’re askin’ for, whether it’s a new story or a spin on an old favorite. October 2024’s solicitations are lookin’ mighty fine, and if you’re a comic book lover, there’s no reason not to get excited. So, get ready to grab these new titles, and remember to keep an eye out for all them special editions, ‘cause they go fast!
That’s about all I got to say on it. I reckon I’ll see ya at the comic shop, ready to pick up them books and dive right into them stories. Y’all take care now!
