Okay, so, let me tell you about this wild ride I had with “Daredevil: Born Again.” I’m a huge fan of the original “Daredevil” series on Netflix, right? Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock? Amazing. So when I heard they were doing a reboot, or whatever you want to call it, I was stoked but also nervous. You know how it is with these things.

Getting Started

First off, I started digging around for any info I could find. Rumors were flying all over the place. I read some stuff about Charlie Cox definitely coming back, which was a huge relief. Then there was talk about Vincent D’Onofrio returning as Wilson Fisk! Man, that got me pumped. The original series had such an amazing dynamic between those two.

The Waiting Game

Waiting for any official news was torture. I followed all the usual suspects on social media, checked all the fan sites, you name it. Every little leak or set photo that popped up, I was all over it. It’s kind of fun, in a weird way, being part of that whole speculation game. I found out the show is not for kids. That makes me more excited, it feels like it could be the Daredevil comics I’ve been reading.

Diving into the Original

While I was waiting, I decided to rewatch the original series. Man, it holds up so well. The fight scenes, the drama, the whole thing. I even noticed some things I missed the first time around. Like, that one scene in the prison? Brutal, but so good. It reminded me why I love this character so much. He’s just a regular guy, a lawyer, who’s been through hell and keeps getting back up. Also, I just found out there is an F-bomb in the new series! I mean, seriously?

Nude Scenes?

Okay, so this is where things got a little weird. I stumbled across some articles about nude scenes in the original series, and then some stuff about body doubles. Honestly, I never really thought about that kind of thing before. I mean, I knew it happened, but it’s not something I usually pay attention to. It did make me wonder how they’re going to handle that stuff in “Born Again.” Will they use body doubles? Will there be any nude scenes at all? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Expectations

So, yeah, I’m excited about “Daredevil: Born Again.” I have high hopes, but I’m also trying to keep my expectations in check. I’ve been burned before by reboots and sequels. But with Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio back, and with what little I’ve seen from the set photos and teasers, I’m feeling pretty good about this one.
