Okay, so today I wanna talk about this Damtoys 1/12 scale thing. It all started a few weeks ago. I was just browsing around, looking for some new action figures to add to my collection. You know how it is, always on the hunt for the next cool piece.
So, I stumbled upon this brand, Damtoys. I’d heard the name before but never really looked into their stuff. They’ve got all sorts of scales, like 1/6, which is pretty common, but then I saw they had a 1/12 line. Now, 1/12 is a bit smaller, which I’m kinda into lately. It’s easier to display, and frankly, a bit cheaper, which my wallet appreciates.
I started digging deeper into their 1/12 offerings. They have some really interesting stuff. For example, there is a Death Gas Station Mr. Silent, which even has a motorcycle, and this Red Yashaman figure which is only $34.99, which is not bad at all! I also found this Annual Special Edition Little Dragon Imp Coal Dog, which looked pretty wild. But what really caught my eye was their TestMan – Crash Test Dummy, which should be available in December 2024. Reminds me of that old toy robot I had as a kid, the one that you could pose in all sorts of crazy positions.
Anyway, I decided to pull the trigger and order one. I went with a basic soldier figure, just to test the waters. The order process was smooth. It was shipped pretty fast, which is always a plus.
When the package arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I tore into that box and pulled out the figure. First impressions? Pretty damn good. The detail on this little guy is insane. The paint job, the articulation, it’s all top-notch.
What I did with this 1/12 figure
- Posed him in a bunch of different action stances.
- Tried out all the accessories – guns, knives, you name it.
- Set up a little diorama with some other figures I had lying around.
Honestly, I’ve been messing around with this thing for days now. It’s just a lot of fun. It brings me back to when I was a kid, playing with my action figures for hours on end.
So, yeah, that’s my Damtoys 1/12 story. I’m definitely impressed with the quality and detail of these figures. I’ll probably end up getting a few more. If you’re into action figures, especially the smaller scale ones, I’d say give Damtoys a look. You might just find your next favorite piece.
