Today I gonna talk about something called “Crossed: Dead or Alive”. Let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. So, I first heard about this thing, it’s like a comic book but also online, you know? A webcomic, that’s the word. It’s all about some messed up world where people get, well, crossed. Sounds weird, right? But stick with me.
I started by digging around online. Found out this whole thing was created by a couple of guys, Garth Ennis and Daniel Gete, they are like some big-shots in the comics world. I guess. There’s a website and everything. But I was more interested in the story, so I started reading.
Getting into the Story
This “Crossed” thing, it’s like a virus, but way worse. Turns people into these crazy, violent maniacs. And it spreads fast, like, within a day, the whole world’s gone to hell. So, these comics, or webcomics, or whatever, they follow different groups of people trying to survive this madness. It’s pretty intense, I gotta say.
Reading the Comics
There’s a bunch of different series within this whole “Crossed” universe. One of them is called “Badlands,” and it’s got different writers and artists doing different stories. Keeps things fresh, I guess. But the one that really got me hooked was “Crossed: Dead Or Alive”. They are like short stories, but they are all connected.
- Started with the first one, just to see what’s up.
- Got sucked in pretty quick. These people, they’re just trying to survive, but it’s brutal.
- The “Crossed” they’re not like zombies, they’re smart, which makes them even scarier.
Finding More Stuff
After I read all the “Dead Or Alive” stuff, I wanted more. That’s when I found out about this other webcomic, “Wish You Were Here”. It’s set in the same world, but it’s a different story. I started reading that one too, and it’s just as crazy.
It’s a Lot to Take In
Honestly, this whole “Crossed” thing, it’s a lot. It’s dark, it’s violent, it’s messed up. But it’s also kinda fascinating. It makes you think, what would you do in that situation? How far would you go to survive?
I’m still reading, still trying to make sense of it all. It’s not for everyone, that’s for sure. But if you’re into that kind of thing, you know, survival horror, messed up stories, then you might want to check it out. Just be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart. I spent my whole day reading it, I really want to know how it goes.
Anyway, that’s my experience with “Crossed: Dead or Alive” so far. It’s been a trip. I’ll probably keep reading, see where it goes. Maybe I’ll write more about it later. Who knows?
