OK, guys, let’s talk about this “Knight Terrors” thing from DC Comics. I’ve been trying to get through it, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey.
First off, I grabbed the “Free Comic Book Day” special edition. I thought, “Hey, this is a good place to start, right?” It kind of gave me a little taste of what “Knight Terrors” was all about, but mostly, I was just left with more questions.
Then I dove into the main event, “Knight Terrors: First Blood.” This one-shot is supposed to set the stage for the whole thing. I powered through it, trying to keep all the characters and storylines straight in my head. It was a bit of a struggle, I won’t lie.
After that, I started on the four-issue miniseries. Now, I’m not going to spoil anything, but these issues really threw me for a loop. Each one is like a bad dream, and the heroes are all facing their worst fears. I was flipping pages like crazy, just trying to figure out what was real and what wasn’t.
Now, here’s where it gets messy. There are all these tie-in issues, like, over 45 of them. I’m thinking, “How am I supposed to read all of this?” I mean, I tried to check out a few, like the Poison Ivy and Catwoman ones, but it felt like I was missing half the story.
My Reading List:
- Knight Terrors: Free Comic Book Day Special Edition – Got this one to dip my toes in.
- Knight Terrors: First Blood – Ploughed through it, bit of a headache.
- Knight Terrors #1-4 – These were wild, guys, seriously mind-bending stuff.
- Some Tie-Ins – Tried a couple, felt like I was jumping into the middle of a movie.
So, after all that, I found out there’s this whole other crossover coming up, “Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War.” Apparently, it picks up after “Knight Terrors.” I’m already exhausted, but I guess I’ll have to check it out if I want the full story, but not now. I need a break from this nightmare.
Honestly, this whole “Knight Terrors” event has been a wild ride. I’m still not sure what to make of it all, but I can see that it is definitely something different and it tried to mess with the characters in a new way. It’s like DC decided to throw all their heroes into a blender of bad dreams and see what came out.
Anyway, that’s my experience with “Knight Terrors” so far. If any of you have been brave enough to tackle this whole thing, let me know. I need someone to commiserate with!
