I’ve been messin’ around with Pokémon cards again. This time, I ripped open a bunch of packs from this new “Clay Burst” set. I heard there’s this one card, Iono, that’s worth a bit of money, so, naturally, I wanted to try my luck.
I grabbed four booster boxes, ’cause why not, right? Started tearin’ into ’em like a kid on Christmas. First box, nothin’ too crazy. Second box, bam! Pulled a Ting-Lu SR, which is cool, I guess, but not what I was after. Third box, another Ting-Lu SR. Okay, gettin’ a little annoyed now. I mean, doubles? Really?
But then, the fourth box. I slowly opened each pack, one by one, savoring the moment. And there it was. The Iono card. Not just any Iono, but the special illustration rare one. I was so stoked! I knew this card was popular, but holdin’ it in my hand was somethin’ else.
I also pulled two SRs in a single box, which I didn’t know was possible, so that was an interesting surprise. It felt like I hit the jackpot, even though the other boxes were kind of a bust.
- Started with 4 booster boxes of Clay Burst
- Hoped to pull the rare Iono card
- Got two Ting-Lu SR cards, which was a bit disappointing
- Finally pulled the Iono special illustration rare card!
- Also got 2 SRs in one box, which was cool
Gotta say, the feeling of pulling a rare card is unmatched.
I’ve been checkin’ out the prices for this Iono card online, and they’re all over the place. Some folks are sellin’ it for a decent amount, others are askin’ for way more. It’s a wild market, but I’m not plannin’ on sellin’ mine anytime soon. This one’s goin’ straight into my collection.
Overall, it was a fun little experiment. Even though I didn’t get rich quick, I got that Iono card I wanted, and that’s all that matters. Plus, openin’ packs is just plain fun, no matter what you pull. So yeah, that’s my Clay Burst adventure. Might try my luck with some other sets in the future. Who knows what I’ll find?
