Well, let me tell you about this AEW Dynamite viewership thing. It’s like this wrestling show, you see. Lots of folks used to watch it, that’s for sure. Back in the day, when it first started, it was a big deal.
In the beginning, like way back in 2019, they had over a million people tuning in. Can you believe that? October 2, 2019, they got 1.409 million viewers. That was their debut, their first big show. Then, on October 9, 2019, it was still good, with 1.018 million viewers. Even a week after, October 16, 2019, it was a little over a million again, 1.014 million to be precise. Folks were really into it!
But you know how these things go. Nothing stays the same forever. People start to lose interest, or they find something else to watch. It’s like when everyone was crazy about them hula hoops, and then nobody cared anymore.
So, AEW Dynamite viewership numbers started to drop, little by little. At the start of 2023, ain’t nobody watching no more, well not a million any way. They were still getting like 900,000 folks, but then it became 800,000, then 700,000. Now, they’re saying it’s even lower, like 600,000. Sheesh, that’s a big drop.
- They used to have so many people watching, I tell ya.
- Now it’s like a ghost town compared to before.
- Folks just ain’t as interested as they used to be.
They got this other wrestling show, see, called WWE NXT. And they say it’s beating AEW Dynamite. Like, head to head, they say. Whatever that means. It seems like NXT has been winning since October 2023. They say NXT got 619,000 viewers recently. And they got some fancy numbers for people aged 18 to 49. I don’t know what that all means, but it sounds important.
I heard that one time, AEW Dynamite got 666,000 viewers. That was an increase, they said, from 523,000 the week before. Seemed like more people were watching again. But these numbers, they go up and down like a yo-yo. It’s hard to keep track of it all.
Then, there’s this other time, they said Dynamite got 594,000 viewers and some other number, 0.17, for those 18-49 year olds. And another time, it was 0.19 for the same group. I don’t know what’s so special about people between 18 and 49, but they sure do talk about them a lot.
One time, on November 27, 2024, they said Dynamite got 536,000 viewers. That sounds like a lot of people to me, but I guess it’s not as many as they used to have. Then, on December 4, they said it was around 586,000 viewers. It’s like counting beans, I swear.
They got this other show too, called Rampage. It’s on Friday nights. And after that, they had this special thing called “Countdown to All Out.” They said 361 people watched that. That was a long time ago though, back in August when they first started that Rampage show.
These AEW Dynamite viewership numbers, they’re all over the place. One week it’s up, the next week it’s down. It’s like the weather, you never know what you’re gonna get. But one thing’s for sure, they ain’t pulling in the crowds like they used to.
AEW Dynamite, it airs every Wednesday, you know. On TBS, that’s the channel. So, if you’re curious, you can tune in and see for yourself. Maybe you can figure out what all these numbers mean. Me, I’m just gonna stick to my stories. They make more sense than all this number business.
Anyway, that’s the story of the AEW Dynamite viewership as far as I can tell. It’s a lot of numbers and a lot of up and down. Just remember, nothing lasts forever, not even the popularity of a wrestling show.
