Okay, so, you wanna know about this Javier Grillo-Marxuach fella, huh? Alright, alright, I’ll tell ya what I know. Don’t expect no fancy words, though. I ain’t no scholar, just a regular person talking to ya.

First off, they say this Javier guy, they call him Javi sometimes, well, he’s a big shot writer and producer for TV. Yeah, you heard that right, TV! Like them shows you watch on that there box in the corner. He’s won an Emmy, they say. That’s a big award, like a gold star for grown-ups who make TV shows. He got it for a show called “Lost,” about folks stuck on an island. Never watched it myself, too much running around and yellin’ for my taste. But folks seemed to like it.
He also worked on somethin’ called “The Dark Crystal.” Sounded spooky to me, but it won him another award, somethin’ for kids shows. Go figure. Kids like spooky stuff these days, I guess.
Now, this Javier fella, he ain’t just writin’ for TV. He’s also got a podcast. You know, them radio shows you listen to on that internet thingy. He does it with another fella, Jose Molina, I think his name is. They talk about all sorts of stuff, like that writer’s strike they had a while back. Them writers, always complainin’ about somethin’, just like my old man used to. But hey, I guess they gotta make a livin’ somehow.

This podcast, it’s called “Children of Tendu.” Don’t ask me what that means, I ain’t got a clue. Sounds like somethin’ out of a book, the kind them city folks read. But people listen to it, so it must be alright. They talk about TV shows and movies, and how the whole business works. Sounds complicated to me.
Javier, he’s also been a showrunner, that means he’s the boss of a whole TV show. Imagine that! Tellin’ everyone what to do. Reminds me of my sister-in-law, always bossin’ everyone around. But I guess someone’s gotta be in charge, right?
He was born in Puerto Rico, that’s an island somewhere. Never been there myself, too far for this old lady. But I heard it’s nice, warm and sunny. Maybe I shoulda gone there when I was younger. Ah, well, too late now.
They say he also worked on shows like “Cowboy Bebop” and “The Middleman.” Never heard of ’em. Too many shows these days, can’t keep track of ’em all. Back in my day, we had like three channels, and that was enough. Now you got hundreds, and nothin’ good on!
So, that’s about all I know about this Javier Grillo-Marxuach. Seems like a busy fella, always workin’ on somethin’ new. He writes, he produces, he does podcasts. Makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it. But hey, if he likes it, that’s his business. Me? I’m happy just sittin’ on my porch, watchin’ the birds go by.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talkin’ made me hungry. And don’t you go tellin’ anyone I told you all this. I don’t want people thinkin’ I’m some kinda gossip. I’m just a regular person, tellin’ ya what I heard. You hear?
