Well, howdy there! Let me tell ya ’bout this here… this… uh… dark shiny Charizard thingamajig. My grandkids, they keep jabberin’ ’bout it. Always on them phone thingies, lookin’ at pictures and whatnot.
Seems like this here Charizard ain’t your regular ol’ fire lizard. It’s… shiny, they say. Like a new penny, but black, kinda. Not gonna lie, sounds a bit spooky to me. Black fire? Who ever heard of such a thing? Back in my day, fire was just fire, red and hot. But these young’uns, they got all sorts of fancy names for things.
So, from what I gather, this dark shiny Charizard, it’s real rare. Like findin’ a four-leaf clover in a hay field, only harder, I reckon. My grandkids, they say you gotta “hunt” for it. Huntin’ for a dragon, can ya believe it? Sounds like a wild goose chase to me. But they get all excited about it, so I just nod and pretend I understand.
- First, you gotta find a Charmander, that’s the baby version, you see. But not just any Charmander, a shiny one. Good luck with that, I say.
- Then you gotta train it up, make it stronger. Like feedin’ a calf, I guess, only with… what do they call ’em? Pokey-balls? Pokey-beans? Somethin’ like that.
- And then, poof! It turns into this Charmeleon thing, and then finally, into the big ol’ dark shiny Charizard.
Now, I hear tell there’s ways to make it easier to find these shiny critters. Something about “catch combos” and “lures.” Sounds fishy to me. Like tryin’ to catch a catfish with a piece of candy. But them kids, they swear by it. They watch videos and read all sorts of stuff on them internet machines. More power to ’em, I say. I’ll stick to watchin’ my chickens.
And get this, there was this special time, they told me, ’round Christmas and New Year’s, when these black shiny Pokey-mans, they were poppin’ up all over the place. In some made-up land called… Pal… Pal-dee-ah? And Kit-a-kami? Land sakes, these names gettin’ crazier by the minute. Anyways, it was easier to find ’em then, they say. But I reckon if you missed it, you missed it. Tough luck.
So, this whole dark shiny Charizard thing… it’s a lot to take in for an old gal like me. But I see the sparkle in them grandkids’ eyes, and I hear the excitement in their voices. And that’s enough for me. Let ’em chase their shiny dragons, I say. As long as they don’t forget to feed the chickens and do their chores, that is. And who knows, maybe one day they’ll catch that black fire lizard and show it to me. And I’ll say, “Well, ain’t that somethin’.” And then I’ll go back to watchin’ my chickens, ’cause that’s what I know.
Shiny hunting ain’t for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. It takes patience, they tell me. Patience is something I got plenty of, raisin’ kids and tendin’ to a farm. But sittin’ around clickin’ buttons on a screen? That ain’t my kinda patience. Still, I admire their dedication, even if I don’t quite get it. They’re persistent, those grandkids of mine. Maybe they get it from me, who knows.
And that Shiny Charm thing they talk about… sounds like some kinda lucky rabbit’s foot, only for Pokey-mans. They say it helps you find them shinies easier. Well, I got my own lucky charm, a worn-out old penny I found in the garden years ago. Hasn’t helped me find no shiny dragons, but it’s brought me good luck in other ways, I reckon.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know ’bout this dark shiny Charizard, which ain’t much, to be honest. But I tried my best to explain it the way I understand it. And if you’re still confused, well, join the club. Just nod and smile, and let them young’uns have their fun. That’s what I do.
