Alright, so, let’s gab about this Nickelodeon thing, yeah? That parade they do. Sounds like a whole lotta fun, especially for the young’uns.

Now, I hear tell they got this “Nickelodeon Anniversary Celebration Day.” Happens in April, they say. First day of the month, to be exact. It’s for when they started that TV channel for kids, the first one ever on cable, or so they claim. Kids these days, always glued to the TV, ain’t they?
And the parade! My goodness, it’s a big to-do. They been doin’ it since way back in ’97. Balloons and floats, big and colorful, just like you’d see at a county fair, only fancier, I reckon. Must cost a pretty penny.
They used to have this other thing too, “Worldwide Day of Play.” Kids would go outside and play, imagine that! But then that whole COVID thing happened, and they stopped it for a few years. Just started it up again last year, in September. Good for the kids, gettin’ some fresh air.
- Balloons bigger than my house, I bet.
- Floats all lit up and shiny.
- Kids yellin’ and screamin’ with joy.
This year, they’re doin’ something special for Thanksgiving. The 98th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, they’re callin’ it. Nickelodeon’s gonna be there, big time. Two brand new things they’re bringin’, whatever those might be. Probably some cartoon characters the kids are crazy about. Always comin’ up with new ones, seems like.
I tell ya, it’s somethin’ else. All these parades and celebrations. When I was young, we didn’t have nothin’ like that. We made our own fun. But times change, I guess. And as long as the kids are happy, that’s what matters, right?
Now, they’re talkin’ about a “2025 Gold Pass.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Gets ya into some amusement park, I think. Rides and shows and even a waterpark. South Bay Shores, they call it. Kids would love that, I’m sure. Splishin’ and splashin’ all day long.
This whole Nickelodeon thing, it’s been around a long time. Folks are sayin’ they’re impressed with how long it’s lasted. Longevity, they call it. Big word for stickin’ around. And I guess they’re right. Keeps the kids entertained, that’s for sure.
September the 10th, 2024, that’s when they announced this new Thanksgiving parade thing. New York City, that’s where it’s at. Big city, lots of folks. Gonna be crowded, I bet. But worth it, maybe, to see those big balloons and floats. And the kids, smilin’ from ear to ear. That’s what it’s all about, I reckon.

So yeah, Nickelodeon’s got their parade, and their celebrations, and their TV shows. Keeps the young’uns busy and happy. And that ain’t a bad thing, not at all.
They started this whole shebang back in April 1st when they celebrated Nickelodeon Anniversay Celebration Day since then they started sponsoring floats and baloons since way back 1997 but then they stopped during the COVID pandemic but now they are back in the game bigger than ever.
So if you got young’uns, take ’em to see the parade. They’ll love it, I guarantee it. And who knows, maybe you will too. It’s a chance to feel like a kid again, even if just for a little while.
