Broken Worlds RPG: Is it fun, and where can you get it?

So, I heard some buzz about this thing called “Broken Worlds RPG” and thought, “Hey, why not give it a shot?” I’m always up for trying new stuff, especially when it comes to games. This one’s based on that “Kill Six Billion Demons” comic, which I’ve only skimmed through, but the art looked pretty wild.

First, I tried to figure out what this game was even about. Turns out, it’s a role-playing game, but not your typical dungeon-crawling kind. I started digging around for any info I could find. There wasn’t a ton out there, but I pieced together that it’s got a pretty unique setting and some interesting mechanics.

Next, I decided to look for a group to play with. I found a few online communities dedicated to “Broken Worlds,” and even a wiki maintained by some players. These guys seemed pretty serious about it, with over a decade of history! I joined a server and started chatting with folks. Everyone was super welcoming and eager to help a newbie like me.

After getting the basics down, I created my first character. It was a bit overwhelming at first, with all the different options and choices. But I took my time, read through the rules, and eventually came up with something I thought would be fun to play. I think I spent like two hours just tweaking the details and backstory.

We finally started playing a few sessions. The game master was really good at setting the scene and describing the world. It felt totally different from anything I’d played before. We got into some crazy situations, and I even surprised myself with how my character reacted.

Here’s what I like so far:

Overall, I’m having a blast with “Broken Worlds RPG.” It’s definitely a unique and interesting game that’s worth checking out if you’re into role-playing. I’m still pretty new to it, but I’m excited to see where our campaign goes. And who knows, maybe I’ll even start my own campaign someday. We’ll see how it goes after a few more sessions.
