Well, let me tell ya, things got real messy down at that Comic Con in 2024. Heard there was a fire, can you believe it? A whole dang fire!
Big fuss over at the Penguin place
So, this big TV company, HBO, they had this thing set up for their show about the Penguin. Fancy name, “Iceberg Lounge” or some such. Folks were all excited, lining up and such. Then, bam! Smoke and flames, just like that.
They say it started on the roof, maybe someone wasn’t paying attention, you know? Happens all the time, like when my Billy Joe left the stove on and almost burned the whole house down. Anyways, they had to hustle everyone out, media folks, actors, the whole shebang. Must’ve been scary, all those people running around.
- Scary stuff, fire is no joke
- Hope nobody got hurt, that’s the main thing
- Probably ruined some fancy decorations too, what a waste
Traffic and troubles
Now, getting to that Comic Con, it’s already a pain in the neck. Too many cars, takes forever to get anywhere. So, when the fire trucks had to come, it was a real mess. Took ’em a while to get there, that’s what I heard. Makes sense, you know? City traffic is bad enough without a fire.
Heard later that they opened the place back up for the workers, but not sure if the regular folks got back in. Probably missed out on all the fun, poor things.
More fire talk, but not the Penguin kind
Oh, and there was another fire thing too, but it wasn’t the big Penguin deal. Seems some fella burned his food and set off the alarm in the main hall. Can you believe it? Burning food! Happens to the best of us, I guess, but at Comic Con? Come on now!
It’s a shame, really
People go to Comic Con to have a good time, dress up in silly costumes, see their favorite stars. Then something like this happens and spoils it all. Just like that time the church picnic got rained out, and all the potato salad got soggy. A real bummer, that’s what it is.
What happened next? I don’t know.
I ain’t heard much else about it. Probably cleaned it up, put out the fire, and went back to business. But it just goes to show, you never know what’s gonna happen, even at a fancy-schmancy Comic Con. Could be a fire, could be a fella burning his lunch, who knows? Life’s full of surprises, some good, some bad.
Anyway, I hope they fixed it all up.
Folks spend good money to go to these things, and it’s not fair when something like a fire messes it all up. Hope they gave everyone a refund or something. That’s the right thing to do, isn’t it? Well, I better get going now. Got my own troubles to worry about, like those darn squirrels getting into my bird feeders again. Always something, ain’t it?
Just glad nobody got seriously hurt, that’s the important thing.
Buildings can be fixed, things can be replaced, but people are precious. Makes you think, don’t it? About what really matters in life. Family, friends, and staying safe from fires, I reckon.
So, that’s the story as I heard it.
A fire at Comic Con 2024, messing up everyone’s fun. Hope they have better luck next year. And maybe they’ll ban burnt food, huh?
