Blaziken Alt Art Rarity: How Hard Is It to Get? A Deep Dive!

Today, I tried pulling a Blaziken alt art card, and man, what a ride it’s been! These alt art cards have become the holy grail for collectors lately, especially the VMAX ones. They say it takes opening like, 360 to 450 booster packs to find one of these bad boys. That’s a lot of packs!

I started my day hitting up a local card shop, fingers crossed. I grabbed a few Silver Tempest booster boxes. Why Silver Tempest? Well, I heard rumors of a Blaziken V (TG14/TG30) lurking in those packs, and that card’s a beauty. Plus, its price tag isn’t too shabby if you find it online, saw one going for about $6.89. It’s way more attainable than some of the other cards in this set.

Back home, I cleared my desk, got some snacks, and dove in. The first few packs? Nothing special. But hey, that’s the game, right? You win some, you lose some. I kept ripping through those packs, the excitement building with each one. I know the odds are about 0.50% for an alt-art Pokémon V in these packs, but a guy can dream, can’t he?

Here’s the breakdown of my pulls:

• First box: A couple of regular V cards. Nice, but not what I’m after.
• Second box: More of the same. Starting to feel a bit discouraged, but I pushed on.
• Third box: Still no alt art. At this point, I’m seriously considering if the Pokémon gods are against me.

Then, in the very last box, in one of the last packs, I saw it. The distinct design, the vibrant colors, it was a Blaziken VMAX! I couldn’t believe my eyes. This card isn’t just rare; it’s absolutely stunning. It features this awesome depiction of Blaziken, all powered up and ready to go. And the rainbow colors? Chef’s kiss!

I carefully put it in a sleeve, then into a top loader. This baby is going straight into my collection binder. Some folks might think about selling a card like this, especially since it’s one of the most valuable cards in Chilling Reign, but not me. This one’s a keeper. It’s not every day you pull a card this rare and beautiful.

So, yeah, today was a good day. It just goes to show, you never know what you’re gonna get when you crack open a pack of Pokémon cards. Sometimes, the rarest cards are just a few packs away. Keep collecting, folks, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
