August 18th Movie Releases You Cant Miss This Summer

Alright, listen up, y’all! Gonna tell ya ’bout them new movies comin’ out on August 18th, or around then. Don’t know much ’bout fancy words or nothin’, just tellin’ ya what I heard.

So, they got this big ol’ shark movie, Meg 2: The Trench. Heard it’s got them giant sharks again, bigger’n a barn, I reckon. Lot of bitin’ and screamin’, probably. Folks seem to like that kinda stuff. Scary, if you ask me. Always makin’ the sharks bigger and scarier, I swear. If you like them action movies with lots of, you know, stuff blowin’ up and jumpin’ around, this might be your thing.

Then there’s this one called The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Sounds spooky. Somethin’ ’bout a boat and somethin’ bad on it. Vampire, they say. Suckin’ blood and all that. Not my cup of tea, but some folks like bein’ scared, I guess. Remember them old Dracula movies? Probably somethin’ like that. Always dark and gloomy these movies.

• Meg 2: Big sharks, lots of action. Boom, boom, splash!
• Demeter: Scary boat, vampire on board. Ooooh, spooky!

Now, for the young’uns, they got them Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles again. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, they call it. Them turtles that know kung fu or somethin’. Always eatin’ pizza, too. Kids love ’em. Don’t understand it myself, but hey, whatever floats your boat. These turtles always be fightin’ somebody, this time I hear it’s other mutants. Kids and their cartoons!

And if you don’t wanna go to the theater, they got plenty of stuff on that… whatchamacallit… streamin’ thing. Netflix and all them others. They got this Star Wars show, Ahsoka, comin’ out. Space battles and laser swords and whatnot. Never really got into that space stuff myself. Too much thinkin’ involved. But folks seem to like it. Big spaceships and such. My grandson is always talkin’ about these Ahsoka, or whatever her name is.

Then they got this Korean thing on Netflix too, Mask Girl. Don’t know nothin’ ’bout it, but it’s got “girl” in the title, so maybe it’s for the ladies. Probably some drama or somethin’. Always cryin’ and yellin’ in them dramas, I tell ya. Too much drama in real life, if you ask me.

Heard they also got somethin’ called August Rush. This one ain’t new, but they puttin’ it on somewhere, maybe that streamin’ thing again. It’s ’bout a kid who likes music, a orphan, they say. Probably plays the piano or somethin’. Music always cheers folks up, I guess. Not like that screamin’ and shoutin’ in them other movies.

So, there you have it. Movies comin’ out on August 18th or thereabouts. Sharks, vampires, turtles, space stuff, Korean dramas, and a musical kid. Somethin’ for everybody, I reckon. Just pick what you like and go watch it. Or don’t. Makes no difference to me. I’ll probably just stay home and watch the birds.

More movies comin’ out this August, they say. Lots of ‘em. Too many to keep track of, if you ask me. But these are the ones they talkin’ about the most. So, if you want somethin’ to do, go see a movie. Just don’t forget your popcorn.

And if you ain’t got no money for the movies, well, you can always just sit on the porch and watch the cars go by. That’s entertainment enough for me. Free, too. Can’t beat free, that’s what I always say.
