Alright, so I’ve been playing a ton of Pokémon Go lately, and I really wanted to catch Articuno. You know, the legendary ice bird? It’s pretty cool, literally. So, I geared up for an Articuno raid, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a wild ride.

First off, I did a little research. I checked out some guides online and realized that using berries is key. I stocked up on Razz Berries and Golden Razz Berries – those things are like gold dust when you’re trying to catch a legendary Pokémon. I also grabbed some Nanab Berries, just in case Articuno got a little too jumpy and I couldn’t land my throws.
Next, I needed to figure out Articuno’s weaknesses. Turns out, it’s weak to Rock, Electric, Fire, and Steel-type attacks. I’m not gonna lie, I don’t have the best Pokémon, but I do have a pretty strong Tyranitar. I also rounded up some friends with powerful Electric, Fire, and Steel-type Pokémon to join me in the raid.
When the raid started, it was intense! We all started throwing our best attacks at Articuno. It was tough, I am going to say it was really hard. I used a couple of Revives during the battle, but we managed to wear it down. We worked together, and I think that’s what made the difference.
Once Articuno’s health was low, it was time to catch it. I started off with a Golden Razz Berry and an Ultra Ball, then gave it my best throw. No luck, I was really disppointed. Articuno broke free! I tried again, and again, and again. Each time, it broke free. I was starting to get a little frustrated, I have to admit it.
Then, I remembered the Nanab Berries. I used one, and it seemed to calm Articuno down a bit. I took a deep breath, threw another Ultra Ball, and… it stayed in! I caught Articuno! I was so pumped, I actually jumped up and down a little. My friends were cheering, too. It was a great feeling.
My Tips for Catching Articuno
- Use berries! Golden Razz Berries are your best friend.
- Team up with friends. It’s way more fun, and you’ll have a better chance of winning the raid.
- Use Rock-type Pokémon if you have them. They do extra damage to Articuno.
- Don’t give up! It might take a few tries, but you’ll get it eventually.
Catching Articuno was a blast. It took some planning, some teamwork, and a little bit of luck, but it was totally worth it. Now, I’ve got a sweet new addition to my Pokémon collection, and I’m ready for the next legendary raid!
