Altrverse Explained (Learn the Basics in Just Minutes)

You know that ALTRVERSE? My grandson, he keeps talking about it. Says it’s some big thing, this ALTRVERSE. Something about, uh, different worlds and whatnot. Sounds like a load of hogwash to me, but the young folks, they eat it up. This here ALTRVERSE, it’s like, you got one story, then another, all jumbled together. Like my old quilt, all them different patches, you know?

This fella, Sean, they call him JackSepticEye. Funny name, right? He’s the one cooked up this whole ALTRVERSE thing. He’s some big shot on that YouTubes thing, that’s what my grandson says. He makes videos, talks real fast. Kids love him. Anyway, this Sean fella, he made this ALTRVERSE, and it’s supposed to be a big deal.

They say it’s a “cross-platform” thing, this ALTRVERSE. Don’t know what that means, sounds fancy. Like them newfangled tractors, all computerized. Probably means you can see it on that YouTubes, on them comic books, maybe even on that TikTok thing the kids are always on. It’s everywhere, like weeds in my garden. I tried pulling them, they keep coming back. This ALTRVERSE thing, it’s like that, all over the place. My grandson keeps talk about that, I don’t understand, but it’s really popular now.

And “genre-bending,” that’s another one they use for this ALTRVERSE. Like bending a horseshoe, I reckon. Means it’s got a little bit of everything. Maybe some cowboys, maybe some space aliens, maybe some talking animals. Who knows? Sounds like a mess to me, but hey, I’m just an old lady. I do not have much knowledge about this ALTRVERSE thing, what I know is all from my grandson.

And this last one, “multiversal.” That’s a mouthful. Means lots of different universes, I guess. Like, you got this world, then another one over there, all existing at the same time. Gives me a headache just thinking about it. But that’s what this ALTRVERSE is all about, these different worlds bumping into each other. I don’t know why, maybe I am too old to know about this ALTRVERSE thing.

• This ALTRVERSE, it’s got two stories to start with, they say.
• One is probably about a superhero, maybe.
• The other one, who knows? Maybe robots.
• They say it’s all part of this big ALTRVERSE thing.
• It’s like a big stew, all kinds of things thrown in there.

My grandson, he showed me some pictures from this ALTRVERSE. Looked like a comic book. Bright colors, lots of action. Didn’t make much sense to me, but he seemed to like it. He keeps saying, ALTRVERSE is so good. He said there’s even a movie, too, they say. A full movie about some Sci-Fi stuff. I don’t know much about that. I prefer them old Westerns, myself. John Wayne, now there was a man. This ALTRVERSE, it’s more like that Flash Gordon fella, all zoomin’ around in spaceships and whatnot.

They say anybody can jump right into this ALTRVERSE thing. You don’t need to know nothing about it beforehand. Just dive right in, like jumping into a cold lake. Maybe you’ll like it, maybe you won’t. But it’s there, this ALTRVERSE, waiting for you. This ALTRVERSE is really popular now, I heard many people taking about it.

This Sean JackSepticEye, he must be a smart fella to come up with all this. Making up stories, putting them out there for the whole world to see. It’s a different world now, that’s for sure. Back in my day, we had the radio, and that was about it. Now you got this ALTRVERSE, you got YouTubes, you got all kinds of things. It’s hard to keep up. But I think ALTRVERSE is really popular now.

But I guess that’s the way of things. Things change. You gotta roll with the punches, as they say. So this ALTRVERSE, it’s here to stay, I reckon. Whether I understand it or not, it’s here. And the young folks, they seem to love it. So who am I to judge? Maybe I should give this ALTRVERSE a try, who knows? I have nothing to do every day.

This whole ALTRVERSE thing, it’s a bit like my garden. You plant the seeds, you water them, you hope for the best. Sometimes you get a good crop, sometimes you don’t. But you keep on planting. This Sean fella, he planted these ALTRVERSE seeds, and they seem to be growing like crazy. Good for him, I say. Good for him. I hope ALTRVERSE can be even better in the future.

I still don’t really get this ALTRVERSE thing. But my grandson likes it. And that’s all that really matters, I guess. He always talks about ALTRVERSE. Kids these days. They sure do love their stories. Especially when they’re all mixed up and crazy like this ALTRVERSE. Maybe it’s good for them. Keeps them out of trouble, I suppose. I don’t know, but I think I should really pay attention to this ALTRVERSE thing. Maybe I can find some fun in it.
