Alright, so lemme tell ya ’bout this thing called “4 Town Manga”, whatever that is. Sounds like some kinda fancy comic book, ya know? Them youngsters are always readin’ these things.

So, what’s the big deal with this 4 Town?
Well, from what I gather, it ain’t a real place or nothin’. It’s like one of them boy bands, you know, like them fellas with the slick hair and the singin’ and dancin’. But this one, it’s make-believe. Like somethin’ outta a movie, they say. They call it “Turning Red.” Never seen it myself, too busy with chores and such.
- They got these songs, see? And the kids, they go crazy for ’em. Reminds me of when them Beatles fellas were all the rage, though I wasn’t payin’ much attention back then neither.
- They say this manga thing, it’s like a side story to the movie. Shows you what them boys in the band are up to, I guess. More singin’ and dancin’, probably.
Now, here’s the funny thing. They call it “4 Town,” but there’s five of them fellas in the band! Can ya believe it? Don’t make no sense to me. Someone said it’s ’cause the number four is bad luck in some places. So they got four, then they added another one, just to be safe, I reckon.
Who are these fellas, anyway?
Well, they don’t say how old they are in the movie, but folks reckon they’re ’bout as young as my grandkid, maybe a bit older. Young enough to be jumpin’ around on stage, that’s for sure. There’s this one fella named Jesse, he’s the oldest, they say. And another one, Tae Young, he’s the youngest. And one of them fellas, his brother sings too, or somethin’ like that. Famous family, I guess.
What happens in this manga thing?
I ain’t read it, mind you, but from what I hear, it’s just more of them boys bein’ all famous and whatnot. Singin’ their songs, meetin’ their fans. You know, the usual boy band stuff. Nothin’ too excitin’ if you ask me.
Is it any good?

Well, that depends on who you ask, I reckon. Them youngsters, they probably love it. They like all that singin’ and dancin’ and pretty faces. Me? I’d rather be watchin’ the birds or tendin’ to my garden. But hey, to each their own, right? If it makes ’em happy, let ’em read their manga, I say.
This whole “4 Town” thing, it’s just a fad, you know. Like them hula hoops or them pet rocks. Here today, gone tomorrow. But them youngsters, they’ll always find somethin’ new to get excited about. That’s just the way it is.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know ’bout this “4 Town Manga.” Not much, I admit, but I ain’t exactly the target audience, now am I? I’ll stick to my newspapers and my stories ’bout real folks, thank you very much.
But hey, if you like them boy bands and them fancy comic books, go ahead and give it a try. Might be just the thing for ya. Just don’t expect me to understand it, that’s all. I’m too old for this kinda stuff, I tell ya. Too old.
One more thing though. People seem real excited ’bout this 4 town, real hyped they call it. Gettin’ all worked up over make believe fellas. Well, I guess it ain’t hurtin’ nobody, so have at it I say.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. They’re more interesting than any of this boy band nonsense, let me tell ya.
